Exploring an Abandoned Boeing 747
Ex British Airways registration GBYGA, delivered in March 1998 and last flew in March 2020. She was retired as a direct result of the COVID19 pandemic and is seen here in October 2021, in the early stages of being dismantled. A lot of the moving parts will be sold off to other 747 operators mainly cargo but most of the aircraft will be scrapped.
