Staying on a cruise to see the incredible seascape dotted with limestone mountains is definitely the best way to explore Halong Bay. After some research, we booked a 2Day 1 Night package with Dragon Bay Cruise via Agoda at a bargain price of around 17,000 rupees (https://www.agoda.com/dragonbaycrui.... The booking included room and all meals and offered kayaking, boating, swimming, and fishing!
After the booking was confirmed we received a welcome message from Ms. Lee of Dragon Bay Cruise. We had to submit our passport details and food preferences for a smooth onboarding.
The cruise also provided pickup and drop service from Hanoi for an extra 25 dollars. We however did not take this service, as we came to Halong Bay a day before our onboarding and stayed in Pearl Hotel, in Tuan Chan Island of Halong Bay. Most cruises are docked here in this island. It was a walking distance from our hotel to the port.
