Exploring one of the ancient abandoned NH roads with a metal detector

Not Thursday

This old road also know as a cart path goes back to the 1730s and I have never walked the entire thing. So I took my Fisher F19 metal detector and went exploring. Walking along it is easy to see this was indeed a road made for wagons back in the colonial days with its rock shoulders and very hard packed ground. I didn't find anything with the metal detector in this old road but stopped at the cellar hole on the way back. I dug up a couple of relics from the 1700s and that just ended the day perfect.
