EXPLORING THE BIG APPLE TO PORT HOPE SALMON FISHING A must see while visiting the Toronto area. Just 100KM East of Toronto, right off the hiway 401 East.
The Big Apple is in a town called Colbourne and the Salmon Run is in Port Hope along the Ganaraska River, approximately 35 km from each other but both are off the 401 East.
5,000 to 10,000 chinook and silvery coho salmon swim from Lake Ontario up the Ganaraska River that runs through Port Hope on their way to their home spawning grounds.
SHOUT OUT Pickering, ON just made it in to the Guinness Book of World Records with the longest covered pedestrian bridge in the world at 250 meters.
