Pratap Bhanu Mehta is one of the foremost public intellectuals of our times. He has taught at Harvard, NYU Law School and JNU. He was president of the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi, and is currently ViceChancellor at Ashoka University.

Pratap comes as a guest to the Adda in the middle of a parliamentary election in which all the consequential questions have been thrown up from Hindutva and secularism to the politics of populism and social welfare, from nationalism and national security to the integrity and autonomy of institutions.
