Life has been....a LOT lately. Lots of stress, fear, sorrow, excitement, chaos, complications, and lots of love. All of it. I decided one day this week that it was time to really let loose with paint and PLAY. I wanted to go BIG and I did!
I cut a piece of pregessoed, unstretched canvas about 6 feet by 5.5 feet and stapled it to my painting wall. Then, I added six 12"x12" cradled wood panels to the small side wall to turn it into a series of 7 paintings: 6 small panels and 1 HUGE canvas.
After working on the smaller side for the most part for a couple years, I had forgotten how cathartic it is to physically push and pull paint around on a giant surface. It's incredibly satisfying especially when it comes to process art and going for it. Join me as I loosen up and return to PLAYING BIG!
