Romance of the Three Kingdoms (《三国演义》), the full title of which is Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms (《三国志通俗演义》) is the first fulllength historical novel in Chinese literary history. The author is Luo Guanzhong of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. It is one of the four great masterpieces of Chinese classical fiction and one of the four great wondrous books.
