The stars of the show at Pratica di Mare this weekend were a TF104G Starfighter from the USA, a newlyrestored G.91R and Europe's only airworthy Sabre a CL13B Mk.6 from France.

The classic jets flew with their modern counterparts: a bomber formation comprising the AMX A11B Ghibli, A200 Tornado and G.91, and a fighter formation comprising the Sabre, F104, F2000A Typhoon and F35A Lightning.

Held at Pratica di Mare just outside Rome, the Manifestazione Aerea del Centenario dell'Aeronautica Militare celebrated 100 years of the Italian Air Force, featuring a wide range of current and former Italian Air Force types.
