F-22 Raptor ✈️ Thrilling Flights Fast and Slow Exciting Maneuvers!

Follow
RC4ever

Flying at RACBSA is always really refreshing for me, particularly for flying EDFs, thanks to its beautiful landscape, wide flight box and paved runway.

This airfield lends itself much more to low altitude flybys, knife edges and other similar maneuvers. Not having the hill with the forest from my other club right in front gives me quite some freedom to experiment with different flight routines! ^^

Earlier that day it was a bit windy so I flew a bit faster than usual to accommodate but these flights were carried out more towards sunset day and the air was calmer which allowed me to lower my safety altitude and get some really cool shots with the mountainous background :)

Shameless plug: if you want to contribute to my work, please consider having a look at some of my merch! ;)

These were flights 158thrd to 162nd on 'Scarlett'.

Mind that although most of the jet is stock, I performed several modifications. Removed the infamous Blue Box and wing ribbon wires, passed individual leads to wing servos, mixed them all separately, removed pilot figure and nose gear light, installed a HE A3S3 gyro (which required physical servo reversing one stabilator servo, inverting motor and pot wires), added a green LED to make a fake HUD reflection effect, airbrushed the canopy to make it look more golden, like the fullscale one. Need to pick the sun at the right angle to show up though!

More details on my setup coming (soon?)!
