In 2021, Jerry Paskett was hospitalized with COVID, and deteriorated to the point that his organs started shutting down and he was on the verge of death.

It was during this time that Jerry had an outofbody experience, and was ultimately given a choice: to stay on earth with his friends and family, or to go through the veil.
