**Update**

This log holder can support the weight of pretty much anyone while it's on the ground! It's a log holder :) The amount of weight that it can hold being hung depends on a few conditions like the weight of the person, chains, rope, and branches. If you do plan on hanging it and sitting someone in it, BE CAREFUL! Think of this as being a tire swing. Make sure everything is fastened properly, then doublecheck it again. Safety first!
