This is a small base built with cranes and forklifts to create walls out of large cargo containers, a factory built to house worker slaves that were once praetorians, centurions, legionaire recruits, etc. This settlement was built at red rocket in fallout 4 but was intended to be a settlement in the Midwest so for the sake of the lore of this structure let's just say we're in the Midwest and not Boston.

The Idea behind the Ransom at its core, is a society of free men and women who seek to create a new social and economic structure with more liberties and personal freedoms and less government and military expression. They despise the NCR and they Despise the Remnants of the Ashes because both of these factions are seekers of the old world philosophy, that in order to rebuild society it must be rebuilt from what it was, instead of what it could be. The idealists, who seek to create a better societal system while the world remains in pieces because it's the best time to experiment with a new society. The Ransom believe that the old world is the very reason the world is in ruin.

The Ransom Union was created by a towering man with large scars on his face and body and burns to give them company. His name is in a foreign language known only to his tribe, the Stone Swords, and the other tribes in his personal home region. His name is pronounced "Tai uncrayse," which in language of an unknown dialect meant "The Tower." When his tribe was conquered by the legion, he eventually became known as 'Titus'. Titus was married and had a daughter who were taken as slaves for the legion, and Titus was not pleased with this for a long while, until he began to except the concepts of the legion and worked under them as a well respected praetorian guard, he worked under the Malpais Legate Joshua Graham and served him and was mentored by him.
