In this video, I answer an FAQ I get from women, asking about what questions they should ask their surgeon to prepare for their surgery. I give a few reminders about how to choose a good surgeon (avoiding large amounts of mesh), and then suggest asking questions about the procedures that will be done, what the recovery will be like, how long your surgery will take, whether you will go home with catheter or packing, whether you will be prescribed pain medication, and whether you can expect to have stitches on the outside. I also suggest fully researching and considering the idea of a hysterectomy if you are encouraged to have one.
