This talk will focus on the foundational position that 'diversity' plays across nature, farming and business. By introducing biological complexity into the soil by rotation crops, we can begin to build economic resilience into farmers' pockets. At Agventure Ltd, where I work as beekeeper and crop trials manager, we look at a case study of how the introduction of Canola / Rapeseed into broadacre arable cereal farms has created a quantum leap in the benefits for soil biology, pollinators, profitability and consumers with a range of high grade, proudly local goods and services.
