If TMobile or Verizon Home Internet isn't available or too expensive for your needs then there are alternatives! Check out what I use for high speed data only plan for $6/mo. Also check out the Elsys Amplimax that is a dedicated 4G LTE cellular modem that you can use with many carriers (officially approved for AT&T and TMobile, soon to be Verizon as well). This device is awesome for quickly getting internet access anywhere there is cell service. This is much more capable then a hotspot since it is capable of going outdoors permanently, has long range signal, leverages ethernet for quick connection and even has several useful features such as band locking, carrier selection, DMZ, port forwarding, QoS, etc.
