Let's take a look at the Megalosaurus. These creatures really aren't that bad, except for their tendency to not want to stay asleep. Which just means you have to knock it out multiple times. There are some traps that can help with this, since once they are trapped, they tend to not be able to get away. No, the real challenge to taming these creatures is the inability to find them. Their spawn spots are constantly clogged with all of the other creatures who spawn in caves. Not to mention that cave spawn are buggy in themselves, with creatures spawning inside walls or on the roof where you can't get at them. This can even happen outside of caves too, and it's really quite annoying and definitely needs to be fixed, but this is ARK and I expect it to be broken for the rest of time.
