Both of the loud alarms at this crossing are faulty which is very rare, one producing a single steady tone and the other producing a high pitched and fast tone. This crossing is quite unique as the alarms stop around 5 seconds after the barriers have lowered, instead of stopping as soon as the barriers have lowered, or continuing the whole closure. The crossing is located right on the border between Cambridgeshire and Hertforshire.
