Joaquin "Jack" Garcia, a former FBI agent who infiltrated the Mafia, shared his life story during his sitdown with VladTV. Born in Cuba in 1952, Garcia was raised in the Bronx after his father fled Cuba due to political unrest. Garcia followed a year later during the Cuban Revolution. He worked as an undercover FBI agent for 26 years (from 1980 to 2006), during which he spent two and a half years within the Gambino crime family. His promising career was cut short when he was pulled from the Gambino case under mysterious circumstances. In 2008, Garcia published a memoir based on his experiences. From his early memories of Cuba to his experiences as a Cuban immigrant in New York, Garcia offers a glimpse into the world of a man who found himself simultaneously inhabiting various cultural thresholds.
