A FedEx Boeing 727 cargo jet successfully landed at Merrill Field Tuesday afternoon, weeks after plans to donate it to the University of Alaska Anchorage were announced to the public. The threeengine jet made two flyovers of the Downtown area at 2 p.m. before circling in for an uneventful shortfield landing on the field's 4,000foot runway, with many members of the public watching from the Northway Mall parking lot just east of the field.
