Well, we are in need of more long lumber (16') for our deck project, and the only way to get that is by cutting a tree down on our property. We have a couple of deadstanding Douglas Fir trees to choose from, and one is more dangerous to fell than the other. So I started with the easier one, but should this be a 2 person job?
I have a little bit of experience felling trees, but not a ton, and not for large deadstanding trees like this is a thick forest, with a lean in the tree.
I really do need more practice! (and just need to trust myself and hold onto my little bit of confidence with it ).
