The definition of fervent in the Cambridge English Dictionary is "displaying a passionate intensity; burning or glowing." To put it simply, to do anything fiercely means to do it with a great deal of enthusiasm.
Energetic is a more accurate translation of the Greek word (energoumene), from which earnestly derives. A kind of prayer "inwrought by the Spirit”. Inwrought intricately embroidered with a pattern or decoration.

In this inspiring message, Dr. Benny Prasad dives deep into the power of fervent prayer, using the example of Elijah from James 5:1718 and 1 Kings 17 & 18. Elijah, a man just like us, prayed earnestly, and God responded by shutting the heavens for three and a half years. When Elijah prayed again, the rains came, and the earth yielded its crops. What made Elijah’s prayers so powerful?
