1 month in Fethiye, Turkey staying in local area in an AirBNB apartment. A 12 hour overnight bus ride from Istanbul with many stops along the way. We found prices comparable with USA due to inflation of 72% in 2024 & 50% in 2023. Restaurants seemed expensive for us, so the locals are also feeling the price increases.We adjusted our style & shopped local markets.We found good value on fresh excellent produce & local cheese/ olives/ breads. We spent time at the Calis beach & harbor ares. Overall a good time not as much of a value destination but still affordable. We had planned to come in 2022 & guess paid the price for waiting!!
Anyone else finding the prices high? let us know in the comments we have moved on to Kalkan a kind of Turkish Monte Carlo & are even more shocked by the pricing in this very touristy town.
