Here is a quick overview:
Normal FHR: 110160

Fetal HR Pattern Mnemonic: VEAL CHOP
❌ (V): Variable Decelerations are due to (C): Cord Compression
✅(E): Early Decelerations are due to (H): Head Compression
✅(A): Accelerations are (O): Okay!
❌(L): Late Accelerations are due to (P): Placental Insufficiency

Accelerations: ⬆ in FHR by 15 BPM and are normal
Decelerations: ⬇ in FHR and not usually normal (except in Early)

Remember Treatments with the L's:
Late Decelerations or Low FHR: Treat with LIONS
(L): lie mother on side
(I): IV Fluids
(O): Oxygen
(N): Notify Provider
(S): Stop Infusion of Pitocin
