Ursa Circles
The first thing I want to talk about is something I recently discovered that completely changed my life and its only $20 bucks. Its these little adhesive circles for your lav microphone and let me tell you why these are game changing.

Small rig tool
This is a tool that I never leave home without it and its this little small rig tool and its about $20 bucks. It comes with a flathead, a philips and different sized allen keys so anything I need to tighten I can just tighten that bad boy up.

Aputure MC
This next piece of gear I hesitated to buy for a while now but man once I did I realized how much I was missing out and its this little aputure MC light and I have already used this in almost every shoot ive been on.

They're great for background lights and even practicals because you could replace them inside of lamps so you could control the kelvin. Ive found so much use for these little bad boys.

In fact I'm using one right now as a hair light I just used a little tape on my Cstand and boom I have a quick easy hair light.

Tape
Every filmmaker should have 2 types of tape in their bag: Gaff tape to hold the really strong stuff and painters tape to put on walls or mark your tripods on the floor. Its incredibly useful, two pro tips about tape do not use Gaff tape on someone's walls you will rip paint off and try not to keep the gaff tape in a hot area with stuff you don't want adhesive on, because it will melt off and get on stuff.

The next one really took my cinematography to the next level and that was a Cstand, technically its not under 100 bucks You can find one on Amazon for like &106 but trust me you need at least one good Cstand as a Documentary filmmaker.
I use a Cstand for almost every single shoot I go on. The main thing I use them for is for the hair light, and if you don’t know what a hair light is or you wanna know more about how I light my interviews checkout this video right here where I do an in depth breakdown of my lighting process.

I also use Cstands for rigging flags or bounce boards, Im telling you guys if you dont have one go out and get one its worth it.

Which brings me to my last one and that is sand bags, If you have a C stand your going to need a sand bag to counterbalance the light so it doest fall over but you could use sandbags for your tripods or anything that could be knocked over. Sand bags are super underrated and there cheap you can get a pack of 6 for 40$ bucks on amazon and trust me if you have a Cstand your definitely gonna need a sand bag.
