Jake's mom owns a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertible with just 19,000 miles on the odometer. The Crossfire is 100% an R170 MercedesBenz SLK underneath, which presents problems when electronics go haywire. The immobilizer, aka SKREEM, is known to fail on the Crossfire and did on this one. The car would crank, fire, and die three times before cutting off completely the sign of a dead SKREEM. With help from The Mercedes Swap Shop, we got the Crossfire running again. Here's the reassembly and first restart of the Crossfire in about six months.
