The WAIT IS OVER! In today's video, we lower the RSX TypeS on TruHart Street Plus Coilovers for the DC5, EM2, and EP3. Jason joins me for the lowering the RSX and getting the new suspension and rear camber kit installed! The NEW Wheels are fitted and we get the ride height dialed in. It looks AMAZING!

Installing coilover suspension for me is like christening car! Something about new suspension, the look, and the handling makes it SO MUCH better. Lowering a Honda is nothing new, but it never get's old! However, lowering the Acura RSX proved to have a few more speed bumps than the typical Honda Civic coilover installs that I've done. Not to say that the MacPherson strut suspension is bad, just more complicated than the double wishbone I'm used to. Regardless, I still wanted to show you how to install coilovers from start to finish on the RSX (even with the few problems).

TruHart makes fantastic coilover suspension for most budget minded people looking to lower their car and improve handling. These specific coils are for the RSX, and EM2 and EP3 Honda Civic. BC Racing, Fortune Auto, Skunk2, and Tien make great coilovers, but TruHart has proven to be my goto. I've give you guys my long term review in a past video and I have nothing but good things to say! So with that said, going with TruHart Coilovers for the RSX was definitely going to happen. Installing Coilovers themselves in generally easy, but understanding camber, toe, and steering wheel alignment is another thing to learn.

For the RSX, the front coilovers comes with Camber adjustment plates. The rear of the RSX NEEDS a aftermarket camber kit in order to make adjustments. Adjusting coilovers off the car to a good starting point is your best bet. Make measurements, and make some sharpie marks to make things easy. After adjusting the height for a (second time) I think I have the car sitting where I want. it's not a slammed Honda by any means, but has a clean OEM+ look to it!

So overall, would I consider these coilover cheap? Not at all. Even though though TruHats are affordable, they are still made by D2 and are built extremely well. One NOTE though, you MUST grease the pillowball bushing on these coilovers to eliminate the chance of spring binding. They do not come pregreased. it's easiest to do with them off the car. As of right now, the car looks amazing and in the next video, we'll get the alignment done and I'll give you my final settings for Camber, toe, and caster.

Hopefully this coilover install video was helpful! Stay tuned for more Civic content! Thanks for watching.
