Brookfield Zoo MoldARama 2019 Locations. In this video, Planet Funhouse went to the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois to help you locate all the vintage MoldARama vending machines.
Did you know that the first MoldaRama machine was installed at Brookfield Zoo back in 1966? Now you can find 12 of the worldfamous MoldaRama machines scattered at various locations throughout the zoo.

When you put the appropriate amount of money into the MoldARama, the machine will start up and the molds will clamp together then the machine will inject hot plastic into the cold mold immediately creating the hollow plastic figure. After the plastic figure has cooled for 1520 seconds the mold will separate revealing your colored plastic figure. Then a hydraulic ram kicks it out and drops it into the dispensing tray. The plastic figure is still cooling when you retrieve the figure from the dispensing tray and it might seem hot to the touch for young kids.
