After a motorcycle accident left him paralyzed three years ago, Ryan was unsure what his new reality would look like, and he struggled with the thought of catheterizing multiple times a day. At discharge, he decided to use the same closed system catheter kit he was familiar with from rehab, even though it was bulky and included supplies he didn’t necessarily use, like a sterile drape and gloves. He only heard from his medical supplier once after that, even though he was eventually ready to try new options. Ryan sought out a spinal cord injury support group, where he was introduced to SpeediCath® Flex Set, which has made his cathing routine simpler and reduced the supplies he carries day to day. Now, he’s sharing his story to help others find the best product fit for them.
