Philippe Gougler goes to the very north of Europe, to Finland, in the middle of winter.

His journey begins in Helsinki, the capital. In the station there is a mysterious tunnel, which transports its passengers to the land of Santa Claus. Philippe thus goes to Lapland, to stock up on encounters and legends.
When he wakes up, he discovers the city of Rovaniemi, located on the Polar Circle, a gateway to a white and silent immensity. He has a meeting with a reindeer herder, in the heart of the forest, then boards an icebreaker before resuming his journey to Joensuu, to live a childhood dream: to board a a locomotive that clears snow from the rails to clear the way for other trains in the country.
Finally, back in Helsinki, he is invited to a church hidden in the rocks and meets an unusual pastor.
