Fire Giant (Elden Ring Bloodhound Fang)

I've started routing an Elden Ring BHF any % glitchless route based off Forsa's WR run and this is how the Fire Giant fight currently looks.

I delay using the blood grease because I don't want to trigger the bleed proc in phase 1 and because if I scuff the opening, it means I'm not wasting a grease. Sadly I can't find a way to delete him in phase 2 without using a grease, which means limited use consumables are a danger if you mess this up.

The key in phase 1 is to always attack the heel. If you attack from the back, you'll always get crit damage. This is why I position myself behind him for the L2+R2.

I'm using R1s on the hand after the phase transition to increase bleed build up. Here you can see it doesn't trigger his stagger and we have to go in quickly to do enough poise dmg to trigger the stagger. I think that's an acceptable risk it's harder to trigger the bleed than the stagger, so I'm focussing on the bleed.
If I was amazing at ER, I would probably just bleed grease at the very start of the fight I think if we consistently hit the heel, it won't proc until phase 2 anyway. But I'm not good enough for that yet.

We get the running opening RNG here, not the snow plough RNG, which is a shame as the snow plough is much easier to handle. But the L2+R2 lands OK and we got the chain break, so it all worked out nicely.
