FIRE is an 8voice drum and percussion synthesizer module designed for live play in eurorack from Berlin modular company FLAME. Featuring 9 digital synthesis algorithms assignable to each of its 8 tracks, FIRE allows for precise sound shaping using dedicated knobs on the main module or through the 8 CV inputs on the expander.

In this video I explain how to use FIRE and go through the user interface, and show some tricks for sound design. Disclosure: Flame sent the FIRE, FIREX and TAKT modules to me to make these videos.

FIRE connects with MIDI inputs on the main module, offering simultaneous use of both inputs. The 6hp FIREX expander, equipped with 8 analog trigger ins, 8 analog CV ins, and 3 additional audio outputs, expands the FIRE module and is ideal for more advanced performances.

You can effortlessly morph between A & B versions of each sound, within a single instrument or the entire kit. Global volume and panning controls, along with user CV inputs on the expander, provide modulation options.

FIRE accommodates 128 kits and offers 30 user presets per algorithm, ensuring a broad range of creative options. MIDI functionality enables easy kit backup, restoration, and swapping, with kit changes possible through MIDI program change commands. Explore the depth of rhythm and functionality with FIRE.
