This is video capture of fireflies during the 2024 spring and summer season.

There were some surprises, for instance, the footage from the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River. This is within the city limits of Pigeon Forge, and the light pollution was terrible, but the fireflies were at full force anyway!

The camera gear used was a Panasonic Lumix S5 with a 50m/1.8 lens. The shutter speed was as slow as 1/8 second at a frame rate of 30p. The camera was on a tripod for most of the time.The footage is not layered but is real time. The only edits that are done are trimming, contrast, noise reduction, and brightening.
