Alana and I decided to purchase a used Hyundai Ioniq 6 in Florida, and transport it to Maryland. This video documents the challenges we had over two days of travelling. We left Tampa, FL and arrived in Frederick, MD after two days. During that time, we made multiple stops at DC Fast Chargers. We paid 56 cents per kWh at most of these chargers. And they weren't always working. In fact, we had to abandon one stop because of issues. In all, we made the right decision to save money, buy it in Florida and drive it back home, rather than transport it by tractor trailer or by train. But, we realized that EV road trips are not really a fun or convenient, especially since we couldn't use the Tesla Supercharger network. In all, it was great to spend time with Alana's family (Thank you to Ron and Jutta for taking care of the vehicle while we made plans to get it) and also my good friend Eric Stevenson (EVapors) for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet us.
