The 2025 Chevy Impala design study aims to save America’s large sedan from the rise of crossovers, SUVs, and pickups. This study pays homage to the 1964 Impala 4door hardtop with its frameless windows and clean body lines, while borrowing elements from the more curvy 1967 model. Chevrolet’s streetinspired design language is utilized, with elements from the Camaro and Corvette infused into the metalwork.

The new Impala could come with a proven 3.6liter V6 engine with 320 horses and 280 poundfeet of torque, followed by a thumping 6.2liter LT2 V8 plucked from the C8 Corvette. But the real gamechanger could be the highperformance, dualmotor setup, 100kWh battery pack, and a Model S rivaling 380 miles (over 610 km) range. Power would be fed to the rear wheels via an 8speed Tremec dualclutch gearbox.

The study proposes a sharknosed, eggcrate grille, a muscular hood, and squaredoff fenders for frontal styling. Blackedout A and Cpillars exude a floating roof effect, while the side sculpting features aggressive rear haunches and lower door scallops for visual dynamism.
