Dadsquatch and I went fishing at Newark Pond in Newark, Vermont and caught something unexpected! We called these fish "bullpout" or "hornpout" as kids. Story goes my grandfather caught one that stuck him in the hand with one of its fins causing his hand to swell, leaving me to think they're venomous. I'm not 100% sure of that and Google hasn't been too helpful on the subject. Leave a comment if you know something the rest of us don't.
