Aside from dealing with pleasure boaters and wind, fishing for flatheads in the day time can be very productive. We were targeting isolated brush piles that were holding fish, using cut shad and cut blue gill for bait. We scanned some new areas of the river that we hadn’t yet fished and ended up catching several good ones.
