フィッツパトリックのスキンタイプFitzpatrick skin typingは、ヒトの肌の色を6段階に分類した尺度であり、日焼けの反応やそれによる皮膚がんリスク、美肌治療や化粧品を評価するために用いられます。
日本人のスキンタイプは大半が II III IV ですが、今は在日外国人の人が増えてきているので、
今後はますますスキンタイプ I V VI の在留外国人が増えて、スキンタイプが多様化する事が予測されます。
メラニン系の治療はトラブルが生じやすいため、スキンタイプが IV V VI の方の治療については、その割合を減らして、メラニンとは関係の無い肌質改善系の治療高周波、ニードルなどの比率を高める方がいいと思われます。
