I purchased a Steiner 420, and yes I am naming him Fritz. It's a good name for a tractor. I purchased it with the hydraulic system not working for 1200 bucks and in this video, I go into a fair bit of detail disassembling a Sundstrand 15 hydraulic motor in order to rebuild it. We then take it out into the woods to a piece of property we just purchased and use it to take about 5 or so 300pound loads up a rugged 30degree incline. This tractor is amazing and I can't say enough great things about it. My only critique is that the accessories for it seem to go for around 1000 bucks a piece. So if I want a mowing deck for a 30 year old tractor I have to pay 600 to 1000 dollars. Essentially a riding law mower worth of money, but the ability to go up a slope like a mountain goat is definitely worth it.
