It’s not fun sticking your anchor in the rocks and not being able to retrieve it. Set it up as a Rock Rig Anchor or Breakaway Anchor. This video provides a step by step instruction set on a better way to rig your Kayak anchor system to allow as much chance as possible to get your anchor back if you happen to stick it in the rocks. While I have seen several YouTube videos outlining this setup, I have not seen any using the correct factory splice to reattach the anchor in the right position. The line that usually comes with these Grapnel anchors is Nylon and very slippery to tie a solid knot with.
