The defense team for Florida father Timothy Ferriter said he made “tough choices” when disciplining and controlling his son’s behavior during their opening statements in court Tuesday. Ferriter is facing prison time for aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment after investigators said he beat his teen son and locked him inside an 8x8 room for hours — forcing the child to use a bucket to relieve himself. Ferriter told police at the time of his arrest that his son had behavioral issues and was working to fix them.
