Fluid Mechanics Lesson Series Lesson 15F: PrandtlMeyer Expansion Fans.


In this 14minute video, Professor Cimbala describes the difference between PrandtlMeyer (PM) expansion waves and PM fans. He performs both qualitative and quantitative analyses on PM waves and PM fans. Finally, he provides a stepbystep procedure for solving PrandtlMeyer expansion fan problems and solves an example problem to illustrate the procedure.


This video incorporates material from Section 124 of the Fluid Mechanics textbook by Cengel and Cimbala, Edition 4.
