The extended flute technique known as the tongue ram is really fun to play in a piece and they sound really cool when you get them right.

FluteTips 50 Tongue Ram Extended Flute Technique
The object of a tongue ram is to ram your tongue into the hole and stop the sound.
A few years ago, I had to learn the tongue ram for a piece filled with fun extended techniques. I got to perform this piece again for the 2018 National Flute Convention in Orlando, Florida USA.
