We've accomplished something many thought impossible: flying more than 500 miles with no inflight emissions except water, including a vertical takeoff and landing.

This landmark hydrogenelectric flight demonstrates the potential for emissionsfree aviation connecting entire regions, directly from city center to city center.

The flight took place on June 24, 2024, in the airspace above Joby’s manufacturing and flight test facilities in Marina, California. The hydrogenelectric demonstrator aircraft landed with more than 10% of its hydrogen fuel load remaining.
