I got inspired by the LEGO quad the guys over a Flitetest did. Turns out the standard LEGO helicopter rotor is the same size as a 130 heli. I used a Blade 130 S as the mechanics, and rebuilt most of the Technic frame to fit it inside. The Technic set is 42092, and is a fun little build on its own. Had to mess around with the throttle and pitch curves a bit to get it to hover at mid stick with all the extra mass. Flies surprisingly well with the extra parts, and can be easily converted back to stock. This has resparked my interest in helicopters, may try to squeeze one of these into one of my old airport sets.

As with all my builds, this is strictly for fun. I do not intend to sell any sort of kit based on this project, although I will be glad to answer questions about the build, and help anyone who is interested create their own.
