Last weekend we brought Lucille back to her new home in Northern Virginia. It was a whirlwind of an adventure. I have to give a BIG thanks to the amazing Chuck Tippett, the pilot responsible for getting us both home safe. Thanks Chuck!!!

Along the way we hit up a flyin, race to the airport, fly to Dayton, hitch a ride to Richmond, and we're wheels up just after 8AM on Sunday. We fly straight into an airshow, Chuck flies a wingwalking routine (and dedicates it to us). I REALLY wish I had the rig I use to film RC airplanes... At Full scale and these speeds I would have been able to capture PERFECT video of the routine. I did what I could with my cellphone and then we race over to Lucille's new home at Shannon Airport in Fredericksburg VA. It was an AMAZING and EXHAUSTING weekend.

Thanks to Chuck I've met SO many amazing people in the aviation community this weekend. I know enough to know how much I have to learn and the contacts and people I've met will be SO helpful in making this dream come true. I've also decided that Chuck Tippett will be my litmus test as I work toward being a competent Stearman pilot. I fully intend to do as much traning and as many checkouts with Chuck as his schedule can handle. I can tell there are very few pilots like him around and if you have an oportunity to learn from the best you can't do better than that.
