On Friday we drove to the North Texas Regional Airport in Denison, Texas to see the EAA's Ford TriMotor. Upon arrival we found out that there was still one seat open on the last flight of the day. So I jumped at the opportunity to fly on an airplane from the golden age of air transportation.
NC8407 first flew in 1929 and was built by Ford Motor Company. Ford built 199 TriMotors before ceasing production.
The airplane is powered by powerful 420 horsepower Pratt and Whitney Wasp engines
EAA keeps the Ford in impeccable condition and it is historically accurate.

Thanks to our pilot, Ed Cornfield for a very enjoyable flight!
North Texas Regional Airport was previously known as Perin Air Force Base.
The flight and experience was worth every penny of the $99 ticket!
