After a four year hiatus due to the lockdown, the Australian International Airshow returned to Avalon Airport. A seven day event, starting with a trade, before the gates are opened on the Friday for a three day airshow. The lineup at Avalon is always quite impressive, and this year was no different. Headliners included the F22 Raptor, the F35 Lightning II, the F18 Super Hornet and the Republic of Korea Air Force aerobatic team the Black Eagles.

I managed to get tickets for the Sunday show, and had a great time. It is always good fun being able to spend a day in the sun exploring and watching various aircraft. While the flying program is no doubt the main attraction, there are still plenty of things to do and see on the ground.

In this video I'll take you around some of the ground exhibits as well as my highlights from the flying displays. I'll also pick out a few things (i.e. aircraft) and dive into their backstory and history. Thus, we will fly through history and explore the various things on display at Avalon. Sit back and enjoy! P.s. I realize some of my footage is a bit weird and not all that great. It's my first time doing something like this, so I'm still learning. Also, I had some issues with recording audio, so apologies for any bad audio. It was also quite loud at times which made it difficult.
