Physical assessment is the baseline of everything we do in nursing and is the first step in the nursing process.This video includes the demonstration of a focused cardiovascular assessment in a headtotoe fashion. It details the examination and hones in on the cardiac landmarks, peripheral vascular assessment as well as listening for bruits over the carotid arteries and abdominal aorta.
