This video shows a simple way to replace transmission fluid in a 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid and Energi using some common tools and other items that are easy to obtain. See NOTE below. Filler plug and drain plug locations as well as the correct fluid and torques are shown in this video. Although Ford only recommends changing the fluid every 150,000 miles, the vehicle may benefit from a more frequent infusion of fresh fluid. This is because the hybrid drive system has both the transmission and the motorgenerators sharing the same transmission fluid. Thanks for watching and for sharing.

NOTE BELOW: The Ford Fusion, Fusion Energi, CMax and CMax Energi all share the same HF35 eCVT transmission shown in the video. Ford used the same HF35 transaxle in 2013 through 2019 Fusion Hybrids. The transmission fluid filter is not serviceable on the Fusion CMAX hybrids with the transmission in the vehicle. You just need to confirm that your drain and fill plugs match the ones in the video.
