Well, in the sport of Australian motor racing, that is exactly the shockwave that greeted Ford's announcement that they had poached champion driver Craig Lowndes from archrival Holden. Now, Lowndes faces the race of his life one that will be fought just as hard off the track as it will be on it. As Peter Overton reports, at stake are millions of dollars as two traditional enemies, Ford and Holden, slug it out for corporate supremacy.
